Women Are More Committed to Their Cars Than Men
According to a survey by LeaseTrader, the “honeymoon period” with a new car lasts 14 months for a woman and only 4 months for a man.
For women 39% consider the honeymoon period over when they let their husband drive, for men only 3% said when they let their other half drive. Whereas, 33% of men consider the honeymoon period over when they begin parking around other cars.
Jane Wells, who wrote the story for LeaseTrader puts it this way, “Perhaps the greatest signal that Men are from Porsche, Women are from Volkswagen, is the way the two genders view giving up control of the wheel. For men, letting someone else drive is the last sign they no longer love their cars. For women, it’s the first sign.”
