Why Men Are Better than Women at Stealing Cars
According to a new paper, men have an easier time in the business of stolen cars. Ok, it’s not that they have an easier time actually stealing the cars but the researchers, Christopher W. Mullins; Michael G. Cherbonneau, say that men have better access to criminal networks who will buy the cars.
Tom Bartlett commented on the paper in the Chronicle of Higher Education and had this to say “While it was harder for women to gain access to criminal networks, once they earned the trust of “male gatekeepers” they were able to profit from the vehicles they had stolen. Which provides some hope that this glass ceiling (windshield?) might eventually be smashed.”
We don’t think this is exactly the area women need to concentrate on smashing the “glass windshield.”
