Wheels in Heels, a New Driving School for Women
Co-Founder of Wheels in Heels, Christine Jerritts
Wheels in Heels is a new driving school for women in Colorado started by Denise Longwell and Christine Jerritts. Longwell and Jerritts, both amateur race car drivers, started the school to help women avoid accidents.
“If a person has one extra second to respond, 80 percent of the time: that collision or obstacle can be avoided,” Longwell says.
The school teaches basic safety and car control and shows women how to control their car during an emergency situation. All classes are taught by female instructors, some of whom are race car drivers or police officers.
