Tribute to Women in the Winners Circle

Lyn St. James after winning at Watkins Glen

Lyn St. James has partnered with The Henry Ford to create a tribute to women in racing. The exhibition is called Women in the Winners Circle and will showcase drivers such as: Jutta Kleinschmidt, Desiré Wilson, Shirley Muldowney, Sarah Fisher, Louise Smith and Danica Patrick.

The team of James and Ford go way back. In 1985 at Watkins Glen, James was the first woman to win an IMSA race, the Camel GTO division of the Serengeti Drivers New York 500, and she was driving a Ford Mustang.

The exhibition will be first shown at the Daytona 500 experience where it will stay until March. Ultimately it will be part of The Henry Ford’s collection in Dearborn, Michigan.
