Red Bull’s All-Female Race Team in Malaysia

Drivers Liana Abdul Razak and Melline Jaini from Brunei

Red Bull in Malaysia started the Red Bull Female Driver Search in 2007 in order to nurture new driver talent. This year they have two drivers from Malaysia (Puteri Ayu Jasmin, Carmen Lim) and two new drivers from Brunei (Liana Abdul Razak and Melline Jaini). Puteri is a veteran having competed in the Merdeka Millenium Endurance Race in 2008 and in the Sepang 1,000 km race last year.

According to BruDirect.com, Razak and Jaini are the first two female race car drivers from this country. They competed against 80 other female drivers to win a spot on the team.

Their first race will be the Sepang 1000km Endurance Race on June 5 at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
