Japanese Female Car Superhero
Japanese cartoon Enjin Sentai Goonja.
For a cartoon program the Japanese show Enjin Sentai Goonja is pretty racy. And by racy we mean really racy, you know about racing and cars. It’s similar to the Power Rangers in America however the Japanese version has a car/machine theme.
The female character Saki Royama (the yellow character) has wheels built into her helmet and had worked in a racing store.
She’s one of the “Engines” that make up the Go-onger team who travel in their RV to try to save the earth from the “Gaiark” who is seeking to pollute it.
Cars, environmental message, female characters with wheels on their helmet—we love it!
