Grannies v. Teens: Who’s a Bigger Threat on the Road?

Are grannies or teens scarier on the road, The Auto Insurance breaks it down for us. One thing we must note however, is why exactly is it grannies v female teens? What about elderly men or male teens (who are often more reckless than female teens)? In all fairness we think they’re talking about all elderly people and all teens but they use the word “granny” and use a picture of a female teen which is clearly misleading.

While they say that teen drivers are more likely to be involved in a fatal crash (nearly 70% for teens v. 22% for elderly) the elderly were more likely to be at fault in fatal crashes.

The report also says that while teens are more likely to be on a cell phone or drive while intoxicated the elderly are more likely to get sick while driving or not pay attention.
