Fingerless Gloves, Karl’s Racing Inspiration
It’s been showing up on fashion runways and the petite palms of fashionistas for about a year now—fingerless gloves. It’s been seen on the likes of Paris, Britney, Lindsay and countless other pretty young Hollywood types.
And of course, the trend—in black, silver, leather and mesh—has become a staple in the Karl Lagerfeld dark glasses and buttoned-up white shirt uniform consistently over the past year. Lagerfeld even designed some high end versions for Chanel.

And I thought fingerless gloves were to make it easier to use your iPhone! But now I understand: It’s to make it easier to use your iPhone—while driving.
Bottom line: I vote “lame attempt to bring racing wear to the masses” on this. Unless of course you’re Michael Jackson needing to tap out some emails. ZOMG!
Separately, why is Karl wearing silver colored finger band-aids?
